Hate to say it but the majority of men do NOT like long nails and on top of that, the majority of people hate pointed nails even more. That is why pointed nails are so rare in the wild, they are abhorred by most.

Think about it, just how many advertisements which feature women with long pointed nails do you see in most woman's magazines?

Its not a fashion statement that comes and goes like long vs short hair or skirt hemlines or eyeshadow colors or whatever.

Long pointed nails are usually related to the goth type scenes or fetish people. I don't think I have seen a normal woman who wanted long pointed nails for just the sake of liking them long and pointed, there is usually ulterior motives involved.

Mind you I am not referring to oval nails gently tapered to slightly rounded off near points but filed to harsh points.

Not only that, it seems to severly hit a nerve that sharpened pointy nails are becoming more of a fashion trend, not just the vamp/goth style. The biggest problem in the country is the rampant level of negativity. As I've said before, even though sharpened nails are in, it's still not accepted.
