Hello, i have a question... Why in passed and in present women has long nails?It's for show nobility class..!??

In the U.S.A. the long nails are more appreciated from the black girls?

I think that's true.....to some extent. Historically, the higher classed women did have nails to show they they were exempt from menial labor.

Today, we have plenty of women right here in America, often in "the hood" with long nails who belong to households where no one works. The working class folks actually pay them to get their nails done through our numerous social programs (i.e. welfare) which are funded by we, the taxpayer.

One reason I heard once is that it makes their fingers look longer and more slender. But if that is really a reason, I'm sure it's only one of many.
