As we're approaching member # 1,000 how is it we hardly hear from ALL the members  . It appears the same people post all the time and its good to have other opinions from new shiny faces every now and then. The nice thing about these forums are there interactive and without the active they can / could become static, boring and stagnant  . Not that it has happened yet, but I just think it would be nice to have new faces and thoughts :) . I hope I didn't offend anyone and as always I welcome feedback and hopefully construstive feedback not just criticism .
Thank you
I'm surprised there even is that many

There are tens of thousands of lurkers (I'd been one before), you can see from the hit #'s on the popular threads. Guys being turned on by beautiful women with long nails, that's a pretty mainstream thing actually, it's one of the special marks of beauty across many societies, though different cultures emphasize it to varying degrees. (I know people were talking about this on some of the other threads.)
But I agree, hablar espanol es un beneficio muy bueno for actually meeting a long-nailed beauty.
If you live in either Florida or in Southwestern states and can speak passable Spanish, and basically have your feet on the ground, you'll meet and potentially date so many Latina long-nailed beauties you'll have a hard time choosing. People's suspicions here are right, Latin American women really do like to wear their nails long and so many of them are fabulous lookers. And besides, most of the ambitious guys around here are learning Spanish already so if you know it, you'll have a leg up on the competition. :D
Asi que vaya y aprenda, sus posibilidades para salir con una belleza se van a aumentar mucho! :)

FYI
I just "pruned" about 25 more people that tried to join in the past week or so. I suspect almost all of them are spammers "peddling" viagra or get rich quick schemes. So we're back to 976 as I post this. I'd estimate there are 50 to 100 more non legitimate nail people on the list that I hav'nt gotten to yet.
So, in my estimation we've got a good 900 people signed up as members, but if you look at the who's online quick link from time to time, you'll see many more non members reading the posts than members.
Yes, it would be nice to hear from more members in posts and picture uploading, etc, but there will always be silent ones that are just here to keep in touch with things and don't wish to participate.
We could force the issue to find out what the real number is by making the whole board a members only BBS, but I'd rather not do it. I don't think it's that important that we know who is reading. I seem to be focusing my time here on WHAT we're reading, trying to stop the spam and trying to get people to post meaningful things as opposed to repetitive stuff or boring topics.
Many message boards are destructive and a pain in the butt, but I'm thinking this one has worked out just great over the past year and a half since it began. We've had minimal flare ups, and the focus has always been on topic. You guys who post are all great and prove that people can work together and create something enjoyable, with minimal rules and admin interference.
As always, if you have constructive thoughts on how to make this board better, I'd love to hear from you - either here from the members or via email from non members.
Ed.

'We could force the issue to find out what the real number is by making the whole board a members only BBS, but I'd rather not do it. I don't think it's that important that we know who is reading. '
I'm with you here, I think we definitely should not restrict this to a members-only BBS because
1. that would discourage many potential people who like women who have long nails, who might be shy at first or just looking around,
2. it would decrease the general awareness of this shared interest among people who might want to join us
3. it would reduce the general traffic and communication among nails sites and
4. it would make this topic sort of "exclusivist" among a small number of people, and thus less relevant, rather than "inclusivist" and more mainstream. Frankly, one of my favorite things about contributing here is the knowledge that I'm able to spread knowledge and useful links about gorgeous women with long nails to people all over North America and elsewhere, to help make this a sort of online reference for that!
Definitely, the Nailbytes BBS is probably the best forum I've seen for linking to Nails sites which is why I ultimately decided to contribute here myself. I started out just trying out the site like I'm sure most other guys here, but when I realized how valuable a resource it was I just felt I should add something myself. Most other contributors probably start the same, so don't worry, as people become more familiar and comfortable with the site, gradually more people here will just smile and wade in. Making the BBS an open site is one of the best incentives for increasing this pool and for attracting new talent and perspectives so to speak, it's without a doubt one of the things that makes this site so awesome!

Hi Ed
Once again you've hit the NAIL on the head ;) . Thank you for all you do here and in the community, in a world of change you remain a constant that keeps us focused and grounded  . Oh...welcome allfredeneuman I see your a newbie and thank you for your input as I found it constructive and informative :) .
Hi All
I was once just a "looker", but recently I have become more involved and am frankly loving this community.
It did take me awhile, and I don't get involved in all posts, only the ones that are of an interest to me (obviously) so please, let the people that want to browse just browse for now. You've converted one here anyway!
All the best
