Monday night in Bucharest, I am with Francoise and Mihaela at Decebels restaurant and dinner is winding down. My worst fears were coming, this was it, I'd go back to my hotel and pick my belly button for the rest of the night and wait out the evening and pack my clothes. I took a few last pictures. Grabbing these final moments with the two most gorgeous women to be found anywhere. The final nine pics from the dinner portion of the evening.

So, it's about 9:00PM, the girls are chatting in that funny language again. I'm sitting there, absorbing all the images I can into my brain. Francoise gets on the phone. And hangs up. It seems ..... she has invited her sister Julie and her friend to join us at Decebels. From here , we're to try to find Zefirs Karaoke again, have a few drinks. it's too early in the evening to call it a day. Who can argue with that? Not me.

So a few minutes later, the girls arrive by taxi. We get up to leave and there I am in all my glory with now FOUR of the most unbeleivable looking women in the world, on our way to some place that no one knows how to get to. What fun!

Off we go in Mihaela's Red Rocket. Driving here, driving there, lots of chatter from the back seat beauties, and we drive over there, and back here again, seemingly not getting any closer to Zefirs. Ok, so change of plans. Mihaela comes up with the idea to go to Snagov lake. She spent part of her childhood there and has great memories, and she wanted us all to see it. So we drive and we drive. We're a little low on gasoline. We stop, Mihaela says to me, go pump the gas. Julie gets out to "help" me and to make a long story short, I was so embarrassed cause the damn gas pump and hose was not cooperating with me. Julie kept giving me strange looks. I was feeling inadequate again, I say again, because i skipped the part where we stopped off to buy smokes for Mihaela. Agnes ran inside the store. I needed smokes, so I follwed her. Agnes paid for hers. And waited for me, problem was I gave the girl at the cash counter 5 lei, which was not quite enough. Agnes threw down another 5 Lei , took change, gave me a disgusted look and we got out of there. Ah so stupid I am. I felt like an immigrant in a far off land, not knowing the language, not knowing the customs. Wait a minute - that's exactly what I am!

So ..... back to the gas pump. Mihaela says push the blue one, so I do that, pull on the hose and it sort of comes out but it's stiff and I need all the strength I have to get it close to the car. Julianna is watching me, giving me that disgusted Romanian look LOL .... anyways, I went in, paid for it and we were off.

I'm not making a good impression with the ladies here I am thinking. And I wanted to tell Mihaela to NOT ask me to do anything more except sit there and shut up :) Did I mention we went to McDonalds? Yes they have McDonalds just like anywhere else, all the same kind of look to it, I was surprised. I had a quick look at the menu and like all the other signs i read in bucharest, nothing made sense.

Yes, back on the highway, we find Snagov. But Mihaela wants us to really "see" Snagov. We need water access. We need to see it. The roads we were going on here were all closed and gated off as we got close to the lake.

MIhaela calls a friend of hers on a cell phone to get directions to some kind of area where we can gain access to the lake. It took many calls, we drove many roads, took may turns, and some had our doubts ...... and finally we came upon the railroad tracks!!!!!! "At the railroad tracks, go to the left and it's not far from there." Ahhh we do exactly that. We come to what looks like a camp, or stores, cabins. Many roads here, actually little laneways. Another phone call, and yahoooooooooooo we're on this little road and we can see water!!!!!!!

A parking lot. What looked like two RV's were parked there, probably with people sleeping in them.

It's after midnite. It's dark. Really dark. We're out in the country - this is Romania. Get the picure? Mihaela parks the car. We all get out except for Agnes who decides she better stay back and watch our valuables in the car. We walk slowly toward the water. It's so dark and the water is so calm, we can hardly see where we're going. Then all of a sudden I hear a rustle behind me and we see two charging dogs come up from behind us and pass us and lead us to the dock beside the water. We cross this rickety old bridge and finally get out to the beautiful dock.

It is a perfect night. Not a cloud in the sky. Calm water. And you guessed it. A Full Moon. Unbeleivable. Just unbeleivable. So I think to myself. Here you are Eddy boy ..... you're in deep dark rural Romania. It's after midnight. Full moon, calm waters. And do I need to remind myself that I am on this dock with Mihaela, Francoise and Julianna? Nope. I was aware of it. Unbeleivable.

I snapped a few pictures. Some are just plain black, one has the full moon, and a few have some gorgeous faces and hands in them. Whew.

We stopped to take in the view for a few minutes, it was so quiet and sirene. Just beautiful.

Back to the car we go, now it's time to test Mihaela's memory to see if she can get us back to civilization. She seemed to make all the correct turns and amazingly got us back to the highway in one piece. We're off and running back to town, past the airport and that godforsaken gas station with the stiff pumps! ,P>The girls compare notes and discuss a few things and decide to try to find Zefirs Karaoke Bar once again and amazingly, they figured it out.

We made it. We parked, walked toward the water and the pathway and found it! But sadly it was closed. Disappointment. there was a guy there and a few of the girls chatted with him and extracted out some information they were seeking :)

It's after 2am. This Canadian is getting tired. Maybe the Daughters of Dracula are too? it seems so.

Mihaela drops the three amazing beauties off as they were to grab a taxi and head back home.

My gawd, what fun, just an amazing night. Too much fun for one day! I'll say it one more time, Unbeleivable.

Mihaela dropped me off at the hotel and up the elevator I went, my mind working so hard to absorb all the stuff I saw and experienced on this wonderful day and night in Bucharest.

Hey, the next morning I woke up with two teeth marks on my neck!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I made up that last part.
