Andrea, Ten Years After

Nailbytes.com archive is at www.nailbytes.com. It has been there ever since we made the move to nailbytes1.com back in late 2001. At the time we had cash flow problems and looked to others for help. Cassie helped us out on a porn server and gave us free space and free bandwidth. Since that time, we've had numerous problems with that site going off line and not being available. Now, today, you cannot connect to the site, and I have no idea why. Maybe it's dead? I dunno. All I know is that emails are not being returned and I do not have access to ftp for the site. As far as I know, it is gone.

I mention all that to set up this one picture gallery of Andrea. On that archive page at nailbytes.com that no longer exists, we had galleries listed in alphabetical order. The first name on the list was Andrea. Andrea was one of our first anonymous contributors. At the time, she was in college in Florida and sent us a dozen or so pictures of her amazing naturals. If only we could connect to see them .... but it's not to be at this time.

Lo and behold, a few weeks ago I received a second email from Andrea in Florida. Ten years later, she asked if we remember her .... and sent along one picture as a contribution. A kind of "Ten Year Anniversary Update" picture.

It's nice to know that old friends do keep in touch, and if you read this Andrea, thanks very much for sending it. We'll expect another in the year 2019. Thanks!

Edanya Ten Years After

Many many years ago a reader wrote to us and suggested that we link to a site on the net featuring a beautful young LNB by the name of Edanya. As I recall, we did so for several years. At some point that site became extinct, and I guess we deleted it. About 1 or 2 years ago, a young woman called Edanya wrote to me and asked if I remembered her, and of course when I looked at the page, I did. She'a gorgeous model-type, and I recall looking at the page and being inspired. I wrote back and told her that I would link the page, and asked her to keep in touch. Well now, a few weeks ago Edanya wrote to me again and asked if I remembered her. Of course I did .... and to make a long story short, I looked for her link and did not find it. Seems I forgot to link her. Ah well, as the story goes, I'm a busy guy blah blah blah.

Apologies to Edanya, today we link it and it will stay there until it expires I guess.

Edanya has taken a new interest in nails once again and we can now follow her life through her website. Link To Edanya

Spantaneeus Xstasty

Every time I receive emails from notable famous people, I get shivers. And every time I get emails from porn stars I get an extra special shiver lol. Span wrote to me back in August introducing herself to us and asking what we could do to establish a relationship whereby we could each benefit. I offered her some help in exchage for some pictures. Pretty simple relationship I suppose. I am hoping to receive some pictures in the near future from Span that do not include porn scenes. It's her amazing long nails we want to see here and we've got our fingers crossed in the hopes she will see this posted and respond accordingly. She sent along four pictures of DVDs and a couple of links she wanted us to post. So here they are:

Traffic & Stats

I get questions all the time about how much traffic we get and how many of you are out there reading our pages. After doing this for 13 years I can tell you that I have learned a few things about it all. One is that there are many ways of measuring traffic and visits and hits, etc. Anyone can make the figures mean whatever they want them to mean. It can all be interpreted in several ways. All I can tell you at this time is that we are pretty much where we have always been. By looking at the attached chart we can tell that traffic and visits are down by about 10% since last December & January and that can change at any time as I have looked at our three year flow after being on the server that we are on now, and it has always ranged from 30,000 to 35,000 unique visitors each month. These numbers come direct from our server stats, not from some independant source, so I'd say the story is portrayed fairly accurately by this chart.

Just so you know the facts, I can tell you that traffic at Nailbytes Forums is down drastically. The BBS has suffered in the past two years dramatically. We can blame whoever and whatever we want to blame .... it seems people come and go from there all the time. New people come and old people leave. It has always been this way. Our most popular pages are the important ones as far as I am concerned. Our Index Home Page , our Main Link Page , and our Prime Time Menu Page are by far the three most travelled pages in both unique visitors and "hits" daily. Thank you very much for that, as these pages are the ones where we place our greatest effort and time.

Dr. Steve & Nail Fanatics

One week ago I had the pleasure of spending almost a full day at a nail salon in Las Vegas with Dr. Steve and the tech Melinda. During my day there, a young woman named Ana got the full treatment from the highly skilled and unique nail tech Melinda, and as it happened, Dr. Steve shot hundreds of pictures in order to document the session.

Back in late August Steve did a similar session there with three or four other models, and we actually featured three galleries in Prime Time of that day thanks to Steve and Melinda.

A few days prior to the day I spent with Melinda and Steve, they were also hard at work documenting Ms. Myong, Ana, Tirzah and Dalilah.

The net result of all this hard work consists of thousands of pictures shot by Steve and the collection amounts to what would make a great pay site on the net. Do not fear however, it's all free and all available at Steve's My Space page. The collection is a huge one and Steve invites you over to his MYSpace page to view it all. He is uploading it all as time permits. Originally, I had thought that Nailbytes would feature some of the pics, but we have opted out of posting pictures from the sessions as I feel it's best if Steve gathers it all in one spot on MySpace so that you get the full experience as he intended.

The Trouble With Websites

Currently I am webmaster for three websites. Two of these websites are currently down as we speak.

First, apologies from the bottom of my heart to all Francoise members who havn't been able to connect to LongNailsandHair.com for several weeks. While I was in Dominican Republic I received an email from our service provider telling me that they had trouble with the machine the site resided on. They said we'd be up and running in 48 hours. Well, when I got back home 7 days later, the site was still having problems. Then, a few weeks later, the whole thing collapsed and the site has been out of commission now for a month essentially. I kept on writing to the tech people, and eventually they said all was lost and that as I was webmaster and "administrator" of the domain, I would be the one who would need to fix it all to get back on line. Can you beleive it? All i know about is html, and even that is limited knowledge. Anyway, as of today, we're almost back up and running. Once we get back up we'll post an update gallery for Francoise and get that site back to where it was. Dammit all anyways. You pay for service and get nothing in return. If I was a spitefull kind of person, I would sue their asses! Again, apologies to Francoise and her loyal fans, on behalf of web750.com, the culprits in this matter.

Where oh where did the original nailbytes.com go? The site has been down offline for at least two months. Cassie is in charge of all that and her email does not work. I do not know what to do next. I will give it to the end of October and after that, I will stop linking the nailbytes domain and let it ride off into the sunset. Nothing lasts forever, I understand that, but to ignore me is something I hate.

Well, at least one of the three sites is functioning normally without problems. If nailbytes1.com goes down, I will finally look for another hobby.

Las Vegas Treasures Erected

Regarding the update we did here on Prime Time back in January 2009 titled "The Boneyard", you will find it on the list of Prime Time updates ..... that was the page where I posted dozens of pictures of old Las Vegas signs and marquis that had been taken down and replaced. For the time being these monuments are laying in a vacant parking lot in downtown Las Vegas rusting, deteriorating, dieing ..... until the city finds the $$$ to finance the renovations that will resurrect these gems and re-erect them in some distinguished manor about town.

I was in Las Vegas last week and while with Lin, Lon and Rebs we discovered that they have completed restoration on three of these treasures! We found two of them, and we missed by one day the resurrection of the third.

Here are five pictures ..... the first picture is the original picture I took last December of the Horshoe Casino Sign laying in The Boneyard. The final 4 pictures I took last week of the same renovated sign recently erected just north of Fremont Street, and just one block south of The Boneyard itself and Cashman Field.

They really have done a beautiful job on the sign, but also they have re-done the street as well with new asphalt roads and some beautiful landscaping down the middle of the road. I risked my life in traffic in order to capture these pics, I hope you all appreciate it! It looks like this area that they are mounting these signs is called "Pioneer Trail". Very appropriate name. I love it.

And here is the scond sign we found just recently re-erected in the same block as the Horshoe Sign seen previously. I do not recall seeing this one laying in The Boneyard last December but because of it's small size, it may have been covered by larger ones. At any rate, this beautiful red sign glistens in the sun on a perfect Las Vegas day. Much better here where everyone can marvel at it's glory than laying in the dirt just one block away.

Finally, I do not have a picture of the big red shoe sign that was erected just a day or two after the previous two signs were put up. I will have a lot to say about it when I can get a picture of it because there is quite a story behind this shoe with thousands of lights and I want to retell it here sometime. In a few of the pics above you can see a post with nothing at the top of it ..... that's the post where it will be put. When I was walking beside it, the wiring and base were all roughed in, just waiting for delivery. Ah, next time.
